This Refund Policy explains how Search Stay handles refund requests for bookings, visit-related payments, and any other charges processed through the platform.
1. Booking Payments
Any payment made to confirm a booking, reserve a bed, or block a room is subject to the cancellation and refund rules shared at the time of booking. Some bookings may be non-refundable once the provider confirms the reservation.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered when a payment is charged incorrectly, a confirmed booking cannot be honored by the PG provider, or a duplicate transaction occurs. Refund approval depends on transaction status, provider confirmation, and applicable payment partner rules.
3. Cancellation by User
If you cancel a booking or service request, any refund will depend on the provider's cancellation policy, the timing of the cancellation, and whether any amount has already been committed to the property or service partner.
4. Cancellation by Provider
If a PG provider cancels a confirmed booking or is unable to provide the promised accommodation, Search Stay will work with the provider and payment partner to initiate an eligible refund or assist with an alternate resolution where possible.
5. Processing Timelines
Approved refunds are typically initiated to the original payment method. After initiation, the final credit timeline depends on your bank, card issuer, UPI app, or payment partner and may take several business days.
6. Non-Refundable Charges
Convenience fees, platform fees, or partner charges may be non-refundable where clearly disclosed during checkout or where already consumed by payment processing and related services.
7. Failed or Pending Transactions
If a payment fails but an amount appears deducted, it is usually reversed automatically by the payment provider or bank. If the reversal does not happen within the expected timeline, please contact support with the transaction details.

9. Right to Review Claims
Search Stay reserves the right to review refund requests, request supporting information, and decline claims that are fraudulent, abusive, or inconsistent with the applicable booking and payment terms.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.
